About Makeup Design for Film & Television at Vancouver Film School
The one-year Makeup Design for Film & Television program at Vancouver Film School is unlike any other in the world. In one amazingly intense year in beautiful Vancouver, BC, Canada, students learn everything from celebrity makeup to film and television makeup, special effects makeup, prosthetics, and full head masks. They're mentored by award-winning film and TV industry professionals inside state-of-the-art makeup fabrication and application facilities as they're prepared to be an important part of any production. Alumni have gone on to work on such films and TV series as Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, The A-Team, and Smallville. Oscar-winning makeup artist Howard Berger has called the program "a great, great makeup department, a training ground."
