Jim Inkster began his animation career as a cell painter at International Rocket Ship in 1995 on Gary Larson's Tales from the Farside II. He moved on to Mercury Filmworks where he worked as paint supervisor and composite supervisor on animated children's series such as Ned's Newt, Yvon of the Yukon, Rainbow Fish, The Undergrads, Rescue Heroes, and What about Mimi? He has also worked on the feature films Little Bear, and The Power Puff Girls Movie.

Jim now enjoys sharing his years of experience and expertise with VFS students, revelling in watching months of work come together in full colour and motion.
