What You Will Learn

All students in 3D Animation & Visual Effects study traditional arts as well as computer skills. Traditional subjects provide you with the cornerstones you need to work within the 3D environment, and include life drawing, sculpture, design, visual storytelling, colour theory, and 2D animation. You will also have courses in digital art, including modeling, animation, rigging, lighting, and surfacing. Early in your year, you are introduced to key areas of visual effects shot creation, from compositing to match moving to camera classes.

To reflect the nature of the 3D industry, you'll have the opportunity to focus your learning on one area of specialization. During your year, you will begin focusing on 3D Animation, Modeling, or Visual Effects.
