Smart, passionate professionals who champion creative work that they believe in: that's who drives the entertainment industry. Entertainment Business Management at VFS is about creating opportunities – for yourself and for the talent around you. You will produce major projects, develop new ventures, and gain the know-how to bring the next great entertainment properties to market.
Unlike many other business programs, the VFS curriculum is tailored specifically to the entertainment industry: Film, Television, Games, Music, and New Media. Throughout your year, you are mentored by active industry professionals who are engaged in those sectors, meaning your education closely reflects the current realities of the industry.
What You Will Learn
What you will learn in Entertainment Business Management spans the entertainment arts, from mastering the fundamental business underpinnings of entertainment, to working with talented up-and-coming artists, to launching a successful career. When you graduate from VFS, you're ready to do business.
To make it in this business, you need to know it inside and out. At VFS, you learn the business side of entertainment, from evaluating creative properties to managing technological innovation, from balancing production budgets to how best to market a project that you believe in.
The Entertainment Business Management program features a real, working production hub, staffed by students, that selects, produces, and markets new entertainment properties. From managing artists to producing films to developing and marketing games, you'll be able to prove yourself in a real production environment and play an active role in a community of talented creatives.
In your final four months, you will plan and fully develop a new venture of your own. Whether it's a freelance business, a film or game, a startup, or a powerful pitch to employers about your own ability to deliver, what you create will be industry-ready. At VFS, graduation day is launch day.
